Strawberry Milk Agar-Agar

This is probably the cutest as well as refreshing dessert ever. It has the sweetness and excellent look a dessert should have. Agar-agar is actually no other than a kind of pudding or gelatin. It serves all ages well.

How to Make Strawberry Milk Agar-Agar

The trickiest part of this recipe is on how to manage your hands moving fast. Agar-agar tends to get solid fast. So keeping it warm while you are processing something else is essential. Follow this recipe for best result of the agar-agar.

Ingredients:

  • Milk agar-agar
  • ½ tablespoon of agar-agar powder
  • 2½ tablespoon of sugar
  • 2½ cups of milk
  • ½ cup of chocolate, melt
  • 2 tablespoons of heavy strawberry puree
  • ⅓ cup of light strawberry puree

Directions:

  1. Take a sauce pan and add in agar-agar powder, sugar, and milk agar-agar. Stir them until the sugar is dissolved and it is well mixed. Transfer the pan to the stove top and cook over medium heat. Stir occasionally to prevent bubbling on the top layer. When it is boiled, turn off the heat.
  2. Prepare two different mixing bowls. Pour a half cup of the mixture into the first bowl and add the heavy strawberry puree. Pour another half cup of the mixture into the second bowl and add the light strawberry puree. Mix each of them well then transfer into ball molds. Transfer the mold into the fridge so the balls get solid. It should take a few minutes. Meanwhile, transfer the remaining mixture in the pan back on the stove. Keep it warm over low heat and stir occasionally.
  3. When solid already, transfer the strawberry balls into a large bowl and add 1¼ cup of the warm milk agar-agar mixture in it. Transfer back the pan on the stove to keep it warm. Set aside the milk agar-agar to get a little solid. When it is ready, add the melted chocolate on the remaining mixture, and pour it on top of the agar-agar. Set aside to let it cool and solid. Flip the bowl to serve the agar-agar.

This dessert is best served while cold. However, it has the delicate taste that you can enjoy even on a room temperature. While it tastes awfully good, you have got to love the look as well.
