Blackened Salmon with Avocado Salsa

How to cook Blackened Salmon with Avocado Salsa?

This recipe is highly recommended to cook at home since the ingredients are easy to find and the steps are quick. You only need around 15 minutes to serve up to 4 portions. If you are fond of trying this, then follow the recipe below from the beginning until the end.

Ingredients:

For the blackened salmon:

  • A tablespoon of oil
  • Four pieces of fresh salmon
  • 30 gr of cajun seasoning

For the avocado salsa:

  • Two avocados, cut into dices
  • 50 gr diced red onion
  • A jalapeno, diced
  • A tablespoon of chopped cilantro
  • A tablespoon of lime juice
  • salt as the seasoning

For the avocado and cucumber salsa:

  • Two avocados, cut into dices
  • 200 gr of diced cucumber
  • 50 gr of diced green onion
  • A tablespoon of chopped parsley
  • A tablespoon lemon juice
  • salt as the seasoning

Directions:

1First, you can start by preparing the ingredients for the blackened salmon. Take a heavy bottom skillet and turn on the heat over medium-high heat. Next, add the salmon and Cajun seasoning in it. Cook these ingredients until the salmon turns golden brown or until a bit blackened. Make sure you fry each side evenly so that both sides can be cooked well through.

2Next, you can continue with preparing the ingredients for the avocado salsa. Here, you just need to take a medium bowl and put all of the ingredients in it, like avocado, red onion, jalapeno, chopped cilantro and lime juice. Don’t forget to season with salt.

3After making the avocado salsa, you also may prepare the avocado and cucumber salsa. The ingredients used are mostly the same with the avocado salsa. However, you need to add cucumber and substitute the red onion with the green one. Also, the cilantro can be changed into parsley to make some kinds of variation.
